Hands, not chatter
A model that talks and touches nothing is only a voice. Plugins are the hands: scans on the computer, Obsidian, the memory. From that moment the picture changes, because the agent can enter your archive instead of staying locked inside a chat window.
Two screens
One screen holds the CLIs. The other holds ChatGPT and Codex. When the problem is the direction of the project, you talk it through with ChatGPT. When the problem is the computer, the files, the system that needs putting back in order, Codex steps in. First you write the direction. Then the agents execute.
The stage
The aim is a near-zero token burn, where each agent does only the thing it is best at. Agents will keep getting more specialized. The system is a stage: the actors are already there, and when you need the right one, that one walks on. The others stay off.
The best, not the master
Grok, Muse, and OpenAI's Dots are building systems of the same kind. Taking the best from each and applying it to a system of your own is the point. Otherwise you stay dependent on the big companies: the product is beautiful, but the structure and the information are already in their hands. It can be reproduced. It takes time and it takes checks, not a miracle.
A VPS, then a GPU
Once it is online, the system no longer needs the fixed computer sitting on the floor. Three VPS machines cabled the same way become another scale. And there is nothing to invent: the systems they are building get reproduced and reapplied to the real problem. The paperwork messages on Airbnb. A check on calories and heart rate. A math problem you have been hitting for a lifetime.
Start from one thing
Liang Wenfeng, founder of DeepSeek, showed that you can start with one GPU and build other systems from there. If yours works, you structure it and you reapply it. The big companies have infinite resources. You have the stage. Either you build it, or you stay their puppet.
